I bought this product because I was tired of removing ice and snow from my windshield. It also protects the wipers from ice and snow. To install I open the door and let the flap hang down, then when I close the door the flap is secure. I then attach the stretch nylon around the mirror and do the same on the other side. To remove, remove the nylon from the mirror, open the door and you can either pull the flap to the other side of the car and pull out the snow and ice. with it OR remove the foil on the other side, open this door and pull the valve to let the snow fall on the hood. It only hurts when wet, I usually throw it in the trunk and let it dry in the garage or warm basement.
