Review on Secure Your Closet With Jiayi'S Adjustable Ball Catch Hardware - 2 Pack by Mack Cruz

This door ball catch is very well constructed and I'm sure that, if I had a lick of DYI capability, I easily could switch things out, but I don't, and I can't. The ball popped off the existing French door catch and I bought this replacement when I could not find the missing ball. I first tried substituting a ball from this purchase (there are 2 catches) but it was just a tiny bit larger than the missing ball (apparently) and would not fit in the existing metal cartridge. Then I tried switching the entire cartridge but the new one was just a tiny bit too wide for the opening in the door and so I couldn't insert it down. I didn't want to enlarge the opening for fear that the new piece then wouldn't work with the existing strike plate on the doorframe above it. Bottom line - I thought or hoped that all such pieces were a standard size but they don't seem to be.
