I've used a variety of Canon scanners over the years. Not sure why this doesn't have better reviews but it's very solid. In a month of daily use, I haven't missed a single page. Extremely fast and good automatic detection of double-sided pages. Its compact size makes it portable (it easily fits in a backpack along with a laptop) and doesn't take up much desk space even when stationary. The front-loading design is better than other top-loading models because you don't have to reach as far. You've spent a thousand dollars on a DR-M160 that keeps skipping pages and takes up half your desk when fully open (see image). Wanted to use Office Space after a few months but threw it in the closet instead. All in all, ignore the other reviews and trust me I will go with this one. Great scanner.
