I have an 8 x 10 rug so I ordered an 8 x 10 pad that was 1/2” thick. The pad that arrived was 1/2” thick, but it was more like 9 x 12 in.size. I did not want to go through the trouble of returning it, so I decided to see if I could cut the edges to size. I have never experienced anything like this from rugs USA. I have ordered two other carpet pads from them and they were the right size. I had to trim about 4 inches on one side and about 3 inches on the other it. It took forever because I had only regular scissors, which I have probably ruined at this point, as they were not meant to cut carpet. Most of the time I order right off of the rugs USA website, but this time I ordered from Revain because it was less expensive. Perhaps I got what I paid for.
