I have an 8 x 10 rug so I ordered an 8 x 10 pad that was 1/2” thick. The pad that arrived was 1/2” thick, but it was more like 9 x 12 in.size. Bought for my sisal hall runner. The 1/2 is super cushy and comfortable, but I should have bought thinner. Bothers me I can see the with from sides. Pricey for what it is. The pad is thick comfort underfoot. Easy to install. Only drawback 8X10 pad was actually 8x10 so no usual under size as normal for a pad. One end longer than the carpet so better-communication on how it will fit at time of purchase.

I like the thickness and softness. It is difficult moving the 8x10 rug on top of the pad. The pad sheds felt "bunnies" if exposed beyond the edge of the rug.

It feels soft to the touch and to the step under my rug. It's replacing a supposedly high-end rug pad with rubber (?) on the bottom which comletely disintegrated into green powder that took forever to clean up and got stuck in the cfloorboard cracks. I got the 1/2 inch, thickest option. I wanted cushion for my nursery under a flat cotton rug. It gives some, but less than I hoped for especially for the price, it still feels pretty hard. I bought this because I was looking for a thick soft rug pad to go under my thin living room rug. The white color in the picture and the description described as being eco plush which is different than the felt one they also sell. What arrived was grey in color and was a felt material. Not very soft and definitely not thick enough. Incredibly disappointed and returned right away. I would not recommend this rug pad.
