Stops pressure surges and makes starting easier
Although I was a little nervous about using a non-genuine part on my John Deere, there was no need. My mower's engine hummed at idle for quite a long time and after a few months of sitting (yes, I pumped the carburetor dry beforehand) it wouldn't even start. After trying a few different things to get it working I ordered this replacement carburetor. Replacement is fairly easy, just note (photos help) how everything is attached before removing the old one. Thoroughly clean all contact surfaces and you're done. Now my engine idles smoothly and starts easily. Very happy with this purchase!
