Review on Ninja K32502 Foodi NeverDull German Stainless Steel Chef Knife & Sharpener Set, Premium Black by John Talcott

Conclusion/TLDR: The Ninja Foodi Chef Knife is good, low maintenance chef knife. Unfortunately, this product line seems to suffer from some quality control issues, also mentioned in my review of the Ninja Foodi 7" Santoku Knife.As self-proclaimed foodies, my partner and I love cooking all kinds of things and often have several knives out in the kitchen during food prep. I'm fairly picky with my blades, so knife selection is usually my domain, though swapping one out or adding a new one is a rare occurrence. While I like the chef knife better than the santoku I don't think it will be my primary choice when prepping food in my kitchen.Ninja Foodi Chef Knife and Sharpener:Pros:- VERY sharp out of the packaging; effortlessly cuts through vegetables and meats- the blade seems to be made of a good quality steel- the edge seems to hold up well so far when used on bamboo and plastic cutting boards- looking forward to using NeverDull sharpener from this set; for now, I am still giving the knife some time to see how long it remains sharp- with the sharpener, you just insert the knife and slide the mechanism up and down - no need to worry about sharpening stones, blade angles, etc.Cons:- While the blade is sharp, it was ground improperly, removing a small (but noticeable - see image) area, somewhat ruining its profile and affecting how it cuts. To avoid wasting resources with a return or exchange, I can and will correct this with my own sharpening stones, but shouldn't have to on a brand new knife.- poor handle refinement for this price point - the tang sticks out slightly from the black handle material on one side, and I can feel the uneven surface when holding the knife- not balanced well for pinch grip use- Sharpener: with several, self-contained moving parts, there is some possibility of failure over time
