Review on Efficient and Portable Wolverine PASS200 Handheld Scanner for Easy Document, Book, and Photo Scanning by Tom Roberts

Ease of use: Document scanner

I've only been using it for a few days, but I can say that it's easy to use. The instructions couldn't be much clearer. The first day of using I only made two mistakes and he told me when I made them. I bought it mainly to copy photos from family albums and found myself using it for new paper items, newspaper cartoons, magazine articles, scans of pictures and words from books. It's so simple that even my teenager can use it flawlessly. I really think the second set of cutscenes makes a difference. I saw a 900dpi handheld scanner for the same price but without a second set of casters for stability so I gave it up. If you're scanning photos straight out of a photo album, if you leave them in I think you'll find that the plastic on the photos sometimes causes a flash-like reflection from the scanner. This can be fixed by deleting the photo from the album. Otherwise I had no problems using it. It's pretty easy to use and you can scan faster than I thought. You don't have to crawl across the page to scan it. (You can't move too fast, but you shouldn't move too slow either.) All that's missing here is a hard case for storage. The bag they provide is good for keeping dust out, but if you plan on traveling with it a lot, say to the library or family, I'd buy the hard side case that Revain sells. I intend to buy it once I'm done with this review.
