Bought a few years ago. We still use it. more often than we would like (VW joy). Having your EPC light on is a quick and convenient way to reset the code and get your car out of emergency mode. The definitions may need updating but are still given a code number so you can find them on the ROSS TECH wiki. I keep this in my MK5 GTI. If you want a cheaper option (we all do) and you have an Android phone, grab an OBD2 reader with Bluetooth and download the VAG COM reader app. Works just as well and has updated definitions. I have that in my Eos. If you try to get "Service now!" displayed on startup, you have a choice of going to the dealer or paying $200 for a Ross Tech VAG COM reader/program. Which I have too and if you are a 2000 VW/Audi enthusiast this is a must have.
