My son picked this carpet for his room, it looks great! It has a very right-out-of-the-factory smell that lingers for many weeks. I have a feeling it is detergent that they used to clean it, they simply did not rinse it off properly. Your feet will have a soap stickiness to it for awhile until you break it in. Friggin' weird! Aside from that, great design, looks good. Oh, and when you first unroll this thing, the ends are just absolutely a pain in the *** to hold down because it's been rolled up for an extended period of time. You may have to use something heavy for a week or so to help it keep the new flat form.5 stars for the carpet itself though. 4 for having residue and smelling like factory soap and holding it's rolled up form.
