Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Transcend P5 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader: 9-in-1 Supercharged Solution for Seamless File Transfer by Shane Schobinger

Great little device; cheap and does the job

Purchased to add storage read cards for my digital camera. It replaced a much larger and more expensive SanDisk all-in-one reader that threw up and died without cause after about a year of very infrequent use. This device is very easy to use, just plug it into any USB port and insert your SD card into the slot. You don't need any special software or drivers, it just pops up and your computer sees and reads it like any other disc. File transfer was very fast with no issues. When you're done, you can leave it in place or just take it out and put it in your pocket, tool bag, etc. I'm using it on an old Dell Windows XP desktop. I also used it on my wife's HP laptop with Windows Vista Premium and it worked beautifully. I highly recommend it. I used it to read and recover deleted files that I accidentally deleted from my camera's memory card. If you do NOT overwrite deleted files and format memory card, you can recover deleted files in most cases. I found a very good totally FREE program called "RECUVA" which I downloaded and used to recover my photos. I highly recommend this if you have deleted or erased files and need to recover them. [I've found many other programs that advertised as "free" but actually only showed you the deleted files and didn't recover them; They had to go online and buy an activation code or license key for between $30 and $60 depending on the program in order to actually use their software. Not so with RECUVA]
