Review on Enhance Your Aquarium with SunSun JVP-110 528-GPH Wavemaker Pumps - 2-Pack, Black by Christina Suk

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not bad. for aquarium pumps and filters

These are really good wave generators for the price but I was expecting something more powerful. I have two that run on a 38 gallon tank. He moves the water, but seems a bit weak. There's no way to rate it at 528 gallons per hour. No way. I was expecting to see a tsunami in my tank with just one of these, but it's a very weak current at best. The fish seem to like it but I wanted them to get more current so they could get some exercise. Warning: Don't use it with small fish (like neon tetras) or you'll turn your aquarium into a scene from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Tiny fish particles are scattered throughout the aquarium! Also watch out for slower fish with long, narrow fins, like angelfish, as their fins can get tight as the holes are a bit large. more than a Category 2 hurricane as I don't want them to drown!) It would be like some kind of water treadmill on steroids. They're actually pretty good for the price, but they're a bit noisy. They make a low hum that can be quite annoying when the house is quiet. I only use it in the evening for a few hours and then turn it off.

Pros
  • 360 degree rotation for full flow direction
Cons
  • There are flaws
