I like this lock because you never need a key. No more rummaging in your pocket or locking yourself in. I found the lock fairly easy to install. Please follow the instructions but I have detailed some points and shown some photos. This lock is a little different from others I've had as it automatically locks when the door is closed. Installation Steps 1. Remove the old lock 2. Add an outward facing lock. Be sure to loosen the brass screw that temporarily holds the lock when it is attached to the black plate3. Connect the battery and the device, then hide the wires.4. Attach the lock to the inside of the door using the two screws provided. Code Programming: The program and user codes are listed on a sticker that accompanies the user manual. I didn't find the instructions as easy as I'd like, so I've rewritten them below. Steps 1. Enter the program code on the sticker. You will hear/see 3 orange lights and beeps.2. Press the "Slap" button and the indicator will turn blue.3. Press the number "1" and you will hear/see 3 orange lights4. Enter a new 4-digit code, you will hear/see 3 orange lights5. Re-enter the new user code and you will see a green light and a long beep. You have now programmed your new code. I was NOT given a device to use and review.
