Just works. It appears to be 100% identical to the Draw-Tite branded device. I had one of each, as did my parents. This was bought for her to replace one that was starting to fall off after almost 20 years of use. For the price you can't complain about this durability in my opinion. This is, of course, one of the "Timer" type blocks. I know some people really like inertial blocks. I think if you tow a lot or have a much larger trailer this might be a better choice but it works fine for a small caravan. If you've ever pulled one of those really old brake controllers that tied to the brake lines and cycled on and off between hard braking and no brake application, this is a huge improvement! It's also nice that it's quite small. I was able to rebuild the Isuzu Trooper's ashtray to fit one of these. It worked great.
