The first thing you'll notice when you go over a certain weight is flexibility. I was a little startled at how much the center of the board sagged under my full weight. This is normal and part of the design. In any case, you never skate with both feet together. I'm a surfer but new to ice skating (and I'm in my fifties now). This board is a lot of fun and easy to learn. Once you get used to the flex you will accept it as the ride becomes smoother.
