I was so excited to upgrade and update the front door lock on the house we bought 2 1/2 years ago. Maybe the weather? I'm not sure, but the door locks of previous houses never had this problem and were cheap standard locks. The last complaint… that's ugly! It's discolored and peeling off! I expect more from Schlage as a leading brand. I wouldn't recommend it to those expecting more than a few years out of lockdown.
