Review on Standard Dry Desiccant with Indication by Jared Winebrenner

I chose this product because of the color change indicator. Other products I have reviewed require the product to be weighed to determine moisture absorption or they have not simply been reactivated. The Calcium Chloride tablets I've tried previously require constant replenishment and you're dealing with a harsh liquid that sticks and smells like chemicals. With these silica gel balls, I put about a third of the container in a toule fabric bag I made (overknee stockings would also work!) and let it work. My digital hygrometer shows a drop in relative humidity (depending on the weather outside, but between 20% and 30% of what it was before I put in new or improved bulbs) in my garden shed. When I check the beads after a week they are green (after two weeks they turn a beautiful emerald green). All I do to reactivate it is place the beads on a baking sheet in my toaster oven with the DEHYDRATE setting. The deeper the green, the longer it will take you to walk it, but an hour to an hour and a half is usually enough. No smells, no waste, no guessing when it's time to freshen up. Excellent purchase!
