I was looking forward to using these and chose this mandolin for its minimalist design. It's better for me to have all the blades on the same rotating handle than having to use different spare bits depending on the size and shape I need to cut. So in theory, I like the design of this product. But in practice this is a nightmare and an awkwardness. It wasn't easy to use at all even when I figured out how to use it properly. Carrots were the most problematic and are the ones I will chop up the most. Soft veggies like cucumbers weren't that difficult, but because carrots are so chewy and chewy, the piece you're holding in your hand isn't pressing down on the veg hard enough to slide it through the blades. I returned it.
