It's made of good, thick material that seems to last a long time. I bought the large size and it's a little bigger than I expected but still useful. As a beginner in knitting, I think I would have wished for a smaller one. I'm unlikely to put it in a separate bag with other things due to its size. In my opinion there is a small problem with the design of the bag. If you put your yarn in the bag and through one of the utility holes, you won't be able to put your project you're working on back into the bag for transport. You want, Make sure the yarn goes through the zipper area and the zipper ends on the side of the bag and not near the holes so it doesn't get in the way. I do not work. I solved this problem by not using holes. I either just open the bag and use the yarn from there or take out a skein of crochet. I also don't like having the handle on the side of the bag. It's just personal preference and I knew the place before buying so it's not an issue with the bag. I just discovered after using the bag that it's not how I would have preferred a handle.
