I hesitated to order TPU because I only have Bowden remote feed extruder. After reading the reviews here I saw that people were having success so I decided to give it a try. This is a game changer! It ended amazing. The bottom line is that there shouldn't be any big gaps between the drive and the hotend. I have 2 Creality Bowden Feed printers that have the body of the node beveled so it starts near the pinion gear. Both print TPU well.
