I bought this tool to use as an integral part of my tool kit when building a wood frame house. I needed something to cut most of the material for my grooves without spending a fortune on slotting chainsaws. Combined with a 550lb 1/2" torque, low-speed Bosch drill, this drill exceeded my expectations. I use it primarily on oak and poplar wood. Some boards are quite green, others have been sitting for a while and are a bit dry. Regardless of the condition of the wood, this thing works wonders. The only thing I have to complain about. In this case, I accidentally discover a knot in the middle of a log. It's going to pinch your wrist pretty hard, so be prepared. , all of which require about 2-3 holes per slot. And the racquet is still very sharp and cuts like a dream. You won't be disappointed with this item.
