Review on Plugable USB Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy Micro Adapter: Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 Compatible, Gamepad & Stereo Headset Compatible by Kevin Campos

I originally chose this for file transfer when setting up a network on a new custom desktop computer. Worked fine for my needs. Later when I tried to use it for sound with earbuds and bluetooth headphones I encountered problems with connectivity, sound quality etc. And after some experiments and discoveries the problem persisted in both Win10 and Manjaro Linux with several different headphones and earbuds, I concluded that it was due to a missing bluetooth adapter. After posting my experience here, I was immediately contacted by Plugable, who seemed to take note of the details of my description and point out that desktop components without built-in Bluetooth don't often bother with shielding to avoid interference. They offered to remove the adapter from the other components and quickly sent me an MF USB cable in exchange. Previously, I plugged the adapter directly into the back connectors of the motherboard cable and moved it a few feet, my connection and audio quality issues went away. No more pops, clicks, poor quality, or problems pairing or connecting devices. I've retested it in both Win10 and Manjaro Linux and it works well in both, finding and pairing with my devices quickly. So keep that in mind when using this adapter with a desktop system. If you're having trouble, it could be interference, and all you need is some clearance between the adapter and the motherboard.
