Review on 🚗 CURT 56217 Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Toyota Highlander & Lexus RX350 - Easy Vehicle-Side Installation by Michael Copeland

Overall pretty easy to install. The packaging looked a bit dodgy as there were a few fuses in a plastic box, the rest of the accessories (fuses, zip ties, plugs) were in a plastic bag inside the box. Easy to install for the most part, video through the trailer is helpful. You plug in the converter under the dash - this part was easy but attaching it to the 'metal box' as advertised was tricky and hard to find - high up on the left hand side. My car has a remote start system and the wires and connectors are in the same place, so hiding the converter under the dash is very tight. The ground ring is too small to fit on a stud as shown in the video. If I was smarter and spent more time I could probably remove the small ring and put the larger one in the kit. Instead I cut the ring to match the bolt and tighten it. The connector on the back is very easy to connect. I haven't done this, but I think I can thread the fork through the hub and under the car to the hitch. I have yet to hook this up to the trailer, but my multimeter showed the correct voltage for each pin.
