I am new to using soy wax. This soy wax melts easily and had no trouble turning jars into candles. It seems like its best use for being in a container and maybe smelling nice when lit. The reason it's best placed in a container like a jar or can is because soywax crumbles easily. Hands cracked when removing the mold. I put the soy candle in the freezer to make sure it was as hard as possible, then let it sit on the counter for a few hours. Finally, I will not be storing these candles in the fridge or freezer. The candle was fragile and when squeezed turned into debris with a rope stretched through it. So, time for plan B - turn some jars into candles. Hassle free and easy to do. I think jar candles are great for emergencies because the flames are a lot harder to blow out, especially when walking. I ordered some paraffin to make stucco figures.
