This product works well but has a small design flaw that users may not encounter unless drilling through very hard wood. Drill bits and socket wrenches are made of two different metals. The drill bit and collar heat up as you drill, causing a slight change in the size of the two metals. As a result, the bridle gets caught in the collar. Even small deviations to the left or right amplify this effect. It is best to drill in short bursts and allow the tool to cool before pressing. This is especially important when drilling wood with a high resin content as it exacerbates the problem by clogging the bead with wood chips and resin. By knowing this early and taking appropriate measures to cool the product, as well as cleaning the drill more frequently, you can easily avoid the problem. If you get stuck, let it cool, wiggle the drill a bit and it will come loose.
