I recently added a beautiful deck to my home in North Georgia to make it easier for me to enjoy the great outdoors and entertain my friends. With the onset of cold weather I bought this heater to warm the very place where we were sitting or eating. For me, this works better than a patio heater that radiates 360 degrees of heat because it directs the heat to a specific area. I suspect the heater sends heat about 9-10 feet straight and about the same range depending on whether you're having a windy day or how cold it is outside. * I use it instead of a campfire. When I'm ready to go in I just turn it off instead of putting out the fire or waiting for the wood to burn. And I like not smelling smoke like I have a fire to keep us warm on deck. This little heater is perfect for my use. I just wish it was a little more decorative, or the cart that holds the heating element could also hold a propane tank for a neater display. I highly recommend this little heater. I was hiring 3 identical heaters from a patio party tent company when the temperature suddenly dropped and I didn't want to take dinner inside. Three heaters were perfect for a party of 16 friends. You might want to buy at least two if you enjoy being outdoors and don't want to worry about your guests getting cold. These little heaters will have you feeling roasted in seconds without having to wait for the fire to ignite. With this little heater, I can get out and enjoy my patio for a few minutes bird watching while enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. , or a few hours for a picnic with some friends. We feel comfortable in autumn and winter, so I can enjoy the terrace in all four seasons.
