Review on 🔧 Enhanced Delphi Fuel Pump Module - FG0030 by Demarco Vonk

Revainrating 4 out of 5

96 Blazer access hole

Well your choice of 200 and replacement at dealer about 175 in local areas 29.00 at Revain and this one. The reason I chose this one was because it is advertised as a Delphi. I say specified because so many things come from China that we really needed to know, not the seller. the correct Delphi docs, but the wiring needs to be modified. After replacing them for 20 years I still don't understand why we can't find the right connector for the car. Okay, let's start the installation. You will find that you have to drop the tank. Bad work. Bad job for an auto mechanic. I've done it five times. Since then I've gained more metal tools and skills and I knew you could cut an access hole above the pump and make a replacement from there. So I looked at a few YouTubes and decided I could do it. I then used to find some landmarks. Look for three spot welds. Drill them out. Then look for other reference points related to the seat bolts. You don't have to be perfect to within a quarter of an inch. Does not matter. I used a cutting wheel because I know I can control the depth. I also used a welding blanket to keep sparks away. After the metal was removed, I had perfect access to the pump. See photos. When replacing the pump, pay attention to the direction of the wiring. Looks complicated, but it isn't. Just look at the cable colors. To replace the access panel I spot welded only four spots. I'm pretty sure I'll have to replace it again so a quick sanding will get rid of them next time. I then used silicone gasket to seal the rest of the panel. It doesn't indicate if there is any metal tape that I used to cover the sealant. Carpet in, seats in, done. Good advice. Don't forget to take the retaining clips from the old pump with you. They attach the fuel lines to the pump. None in the middle. External only. Until next time.
