Review on 🔗 CURT 42225 Chrome Steel Switch Ball Set: 3 Sizes for Up to 8,000 lbs. GTW by Matt Chirila

I bought this because I have several different sized trailers and I haul them all with the same truck. It looks like a great time saver and would make switching from one trailer to another much easier. It seemed like a quality product came out of the box. After towing my auto dump truck a few times on a 2 5/16 ball, I drove over to my smaller lawnmower trailer to hook it up. I got out of the truck with a 2" ball in hand and tried to unscrew the 2 5/16" ball but it wouldn't budge. I ended up having to go to the store and get a pipe wrench to take it off. have also tried lube but it seems like the ball always sticks and cannot be removed after use. kind of defeats the purpose. Feels like the metal is too soft and the guide balls create a rut in the ball that expands enough that the ball isn't moving smoothly or hasn't moved at all.
