Most of the information I found on polishing metal musical instruments was recommended by Maas. Polishing a copper-colored weathervane and old gramophone horns. I found Massa to be fine. This requires some elbow lubrication but ended up with a nice shine. Brasso's other polish was much easier to use. Brasso also started to remove plaque without friction and polished much easier than Maas. However, Brasso appears to be slightly acidic, which is why it acts so quickly, and afterwards it needs to be neutralized with a baking soda solution before the net value can be applied. So overall I prefer Brasso for my project.
