Review on πŸ”§ Sunex 3328 3/8-Inch Drive Mid-Depth Impact Socket Set, 14-Piece - Metric by Mark Bennett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Drawn too deep - otherwise great heads

First, I use tools regularly. I use fasteners probably 5-10 hours a week on average. I'm not a full-time mechanic, but I do own a small workshop that builds custom 4x4s. Pros: - Good thin wall - Seems to work pretty well for the normal fasteners I deal with. - Cost - they are cheap. Cons: - This thing has gone too far. All of my SKs and latches on power sockets have a finer pull, which comes in handy when trying to tighten a nut with a socket. They don't have a beveled lip to fit the drive into the slot. Bottom line: if the broach had the depth of a typical nut/bolt head height and they paid a little more attention to the details around the drive square, these things would be a knockout. I'll throw the regular sizes in a bin and take some snaps.

Pros
  • Individual heads for drives
Cons
  • Expensive
