Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very surprised by this unknown brand

I needed a powered USB hub for my Mac. Only 4 knots. Nothing too expensive. However, I wanted to get the best bang for my buck. I didn't want to pay too much for a well known brand when it's not necessary. After researching various Revain hubs for 30 minutes, I came across this little guy who didn't have a great purchase history but had a good price. At the time of purchase there were only 5 reviews and all were rated 5 stars. That was enough to motivate me to blindly buy this hub. There's really nothing exceptional about this hub other than the fact that it performs exceptionally well. I mean it's well built but doesn't look fancy. It's small. That's easy. That's what you keep hidden, not revealed. What I like about this hub is that it has on/off switches on each input. why is it great Each USB device you connect to one of these hubs consumes your computer's power and resources. Maybe you don't want 4 devices working at the same time. So instead of plugging and unplugging each device you don't want to use, just turn off the appropriate switch. Much easier! So far there have been no problems with this USB device. All ports work. It looks like it will last a long time. The only negative I can point out is that the power plug has a very bright red light. If you can't hide it, it will cause lighting problems. All in all another 5 star review from a great hub you could pass by a well known brand. Instead do it!

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine
