BMW does not sell a luggage net for 540 (5 series). This net is good quality and lies flat in the trunk of a BMW 540. The rear pair of clips are a little loose (BMW puts them 18" in the middle where this net is 28") but bought a set of plastic bungee clips (as a coat/jacket stretcher) and threaded a short bungee loop through a clamp to tighten it.and can use this to adjust when I put larger items under the net.The total net price at $13 was excellent value. Car is new, haven't used the mesh yet and not sure about durability but looks like it will hold up to typical use and prevent groceries and shopping bags from shifting around while driving.
