Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Ironslide Iron Shoe: An Essential Companion for Effortless Ironing by Mark Harrison

but all I had to do was loosen and retighten and again it stayed nice and tight for a very long time before.

This is the most comfortable cloth protector I have ever used. It fits any iron as it uses a piece of string to stretch it around your iron. You simply slide the top over the top of the iron and then tighten the strings on the bottom. After quite a short use the 'shoe' came loose but I just had to loosen and tighten it again and again it stayed nice and tight for a very long time before coming loose again. Use my iron like crazy. I sew from all kinds of fabrics, so I iron and iron all kinds of fabrics. I don't know what I did before I bought the iron shoe. I just bought a second one to keep because I would NEVER want to be without one of these. It's much more convenient to use than a single piece of organza. These shoes protect your fabrics, prevent the "shiny" stains that appear on many fabrics when you don't use protective material, keep the soleplate clean and non-iron, especially if you put fusible pads on the fabric. You can remember to take it off from time to time to clean the soleplate if you use steam frequently.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
