To use this on an Ubuntu 20.04 desktop, installing from the CD will not work as the installation GUI will not open. I installed it on Windows 10 to find out what chipset this device has. This is the 8812bu chipset family - Realtek rtl88x2bu. Therefore, all you have to do is browse the blogs for information on how to install a wireless driver on Ubuntu or Linux. Overall, this WiFi device works in my tests. Windows 10: GUI-based installation after inserting the CD (included) and installing from there. It works for me - Ubuntu 20.04: Manual install (because the CD just won't launch the GUI to install on my Ubuntu 20.04). This works for me too. Other Linux OS Environments: I haven't tested it. But I think it should work the same as Ubuntu 20.04 Linux is.
