Nice device at a good price. Installation was quick as I already had an outdated mechanical digital lock on the door. However, when I wanted to change the factory master code and add other user codes, I could not complete the process at first. After 45 minutes of frustration and almost giving up, I accidentally tried again, this time starting the process with the device in the LOCKED position (latch extended). Yes. it seems to be a secret. When the lock is removed, you cannot start any programming functions. The bolt must be expanded for results. I have carefully checked the instructions for use and have not found this important information documented anywhere, either in the instructions that came with it, in the online instructions (identical) or in the nice email I received after the purchase. If this simple change was made to the instructions to further document the programming process then it would indeed be a 5 star product otherwise I'm sticking with 4 stars hoping to get the supplier's attention!
