Review on Raleigh Bikes Rowdy Youth Years by Billy Braggs

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Cheap parts, poor workmanship. Good name?

Assembly: As a former bike shop mechanic, I'm used to everything from building a beach cruiser to complex suspension bulkheads. I built 100 bikes out of the box, maybe 1000. It was one of the worst builds I've ever come across. about 3/8 inch - there were metal shavings in the bottom bracket - some hex bolts didn't fit the correct size allen wrench - the seatpost was longer than the seat tube, which prevented the saddle from dropping completely. : Children's bikes are difficult to achieve in size. So it's always best to check sizing with your local bike shop, but in the face of this pandemic, nobody has small bikes. That 16" says the 38" for everything - our son is 40" tall and WAY short for this bike. Overall Quality: I'm a bit offended that Raleigh put their name on this bike. They'll be in sold to my local store so hopefully it's only a 1 POS discount.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not bad
