Wrong. I unscrewed it with pliers, very easy. In fact, when I need to change a tire I just use pliers, which are easier to find in my tool box than a wrench (I don't plan on carrying one with my house keys). When it comes to security, the difference between a quick release and these skewers is that you need pliers and an extra 15 seconds. I think it got better but I expected more. Here's what to do to fix it. Both sides require a five-sided key and make one side slippery, round and small so it can't be grabbed with pliers.
