Last week I purchased this Zero Waste Kaytee Ultra Waste Free Nut and Fruit Mix and installed it in my yard for the first time. In the past, dozens of birds would fly to my feeders and eat every bite I gave, but NOT since I launched this ultra-waste-free nut and fruit mix. You won't even touch him. Even finches and sparrows won't eat it and I've had flocks feeding at my bird feeders before. I found it to have small, reddish-pink, artificial raspberry chunks that give off a strong artificial raspberry flavor. As this seems to be the only difference between this mix and previous mixes I have bought and released in the past I have to conclude that it is these artificial raspberry bits that were NOT liked by the birds that used to frequent my garden will . I will NEVER buy this mix again. I hope Kaiti goes back to a NATURAL zero-waste blend of nuts and fruits with no artificial ingredients. There is no need to add anything artificial to these mixes as birds LOVE all-natural, zero-waste mixes. What did you think you were doing?
