Review on πŸ”© ProTech CAMO Edge Deck Screws by Rashan Jimenez

Camouflage screws take my deck work to the next level.

I love these camouflaged screws. Now I use them for anything where I want to be able to detach the board later and also want to have a hidden fastener. They work great on decking and have good holding power. Recently, while working on the deck, granite slab installers dropped a heavy slab onto a ladder I had just installed. He bent the 2x6 front tread but didn't damage it. I would probably replace it with nails, otherwise it would at least look worse than the original. With the camouflage screws, I simply unscrewed them and then reinstalled them. He looked and felt perfect again. That took me 2 minutes. I've also used them with cedar fence boards and used the 1-7/8" versions to attach them to the PT frame. Looks fantastic and is still holding up great after a few years. Haven't experienced any corrosion or loosening. The threads under the head really tighten the boards. I usually use two impact wrenches when installing. One with a zero space installation tool or 1/8" drill bit on it and the other with a camouflage one -Star screwdriver. It really helps to pre-drill a shallow hole to drive screws, sometimes the tool doesn't fit. I hope you find these screws as useful as I do. My work looks better with them and repairs are much easier. Most of my customers love it too!
