These decklid support rods arrived very quickly and I was able to install them quite easily. As with most projects, once I figured out the tools (a small flat head screwdriver, a small hammer, and needle nose pliers) it took about 15 minutes to replace the first side and only 5 minutes to replace the second post. Sufficient light at the workplace was the key to success. The original frames lasted about 15 years. I hope they last half the time. My mechanic wanted $400 to replace the truck and hood supports - I was able to replace both sets in under 1 hour (probably less total time than shipping and picking up at his shop) for less than $50. There are no knuckles and they work well. Watching YouTube videos really helped. Use a strong stick cut to length to support the hood.
