I built a custom data acquisition unit based on Teensy using this 10kg sensor and additional sensors. Sensor may need break-in due to noticeable noise and drift <1% of range used for calibration which was 0-75 lbf in 5 lbf increments; this. 34% of the 100 kg yield point, but the compression calibration was not performed. Excluding noise, the data readings were within 1% linearity for the range tested. I was able to support the weight of my body - 100kg - without damaging the sensor. The ADC was powered by a Sparkfun HX711 board at standard resolution - without scaling - and worked flawlessly. If I had the right loop charger I would provide data charts, but for me this was a non-standard urgent task. The end user only sees an integer resolution, so noise wasn't such an issue. This sensor was chosen for its geometry (integrated/compact) and price. The end user can use the sensor for several hours without any problems and the trends in the data are behaving as expected. I have two complaints about this sensor: 1) filament asymmetry and lack of flat surfaces. It is difficult to permanently install between two housings because you screw the sensor in while tightening the locknuts. The "long end" of the thread needs a few flats on the gauge's outer casing for easier tightening. The thread lengths at the ends should be reversed so that there are flats at the end of the wire. 2) Individual wire insulation is difficult to remove without damaging the wires. It can come with territory, but it does require some skill and dexterity.
