I have to ask myself if everything I get from Revain is real. Overall everything looks fine, but the underside looks a little suspicious and the bladder isn't big enough to reach the internal control markings. This somewhat defeats the very purpose of using the machine layer. It'll still be more accurate than the hardware store Empire - probably good enough for my needs, but I wouldn't trust it with anything critical. Update: I was able to calibrate this level before using it, but it requires a precision machined surface. To do this, I took a marble countertop sample from a hardware store. Just make sure it has equilibrated to the workspace temperature before use - it really makes a difference!
