People say cheap hubs like these don't last long but the last Detroit brand hub I bought for my other GMC lasted 5 years, until I sold the truck with no problems. If you use huge wheels and tires, they might not last as long, but it's the same for everyone. GM didn't intend for these trucks to be monster trucks. If you go down this route, you'll need to do a lot of maintenance regardless of the brand you buy. Buy a Timken if you plan on hitting your truck or they'll get the job done. Also use an anti-grab so the next man to do the job doesn't have to fight to take it off.
