Heavy Duty Crossbeam, Poor Life

These JKS cross members are kind of a Jeep staple, I've used them on both the TJ Wrangler and WJ Grand Cherokee. I was very disappointed not being able to adjust it to accommodate the extra stroke after less than a year of use. The threads have been blocked. I got taken back for coating the threads with anti-seize paste when it was originally installed so I contacted the company. I was advised to take it completely off, put it in a vise, lift to the right and soak with penetrating oil and heat, mmm, that seems to happen frequently. All in vain, I couldn't get any exercise. When I said I'd bought another one because I had a mileage to go, the conversation with support ended. I kinda jumped around, that was the part where they offered me something to replace a year old component. Next time I think I'll consider other options.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
