Another step in the right direction!

Helped tighten everything up after a major overhaul of my WJ's front end. All new parts and then I get Death Swing!?!?! The factory steering wheel must have had bad bushings. Much better after installing this and replacing the SUPER hard bushings recommended by other reviewers on this track. "Hard-KOR SUPER-hard Rockwell Durometer (72d) Tie Rod Bushings."

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • boring packaging

. 1/2 inch. Works perfectly. I wish it had stiffer bushings like KOR

. COR. There are no problems with the chain, but the bushings flex a little. My mounting brackets weren't loose and I tightened this beast to 80 ft-lbs, but the driveway's handlebars flex about 1/8 of an inch. I didn't have a problem with death delay, so I won. Don't knock for that, but maybe they should offer a choice of jacks.

Pros
  • . Very impressive.
Cons
  • . Not fashionable.

Heavy Duty Crossbeam, Poor Life

These JKS cross members are kind of a Jeep staple, I've used them on both the TJ Wrangler and WJ Grand Cherokee. I was very disappointed not being able to adjust it to accommodate the extra stroke after less than a year of use. The threads have been blocked. I got taken back for coating the threads with anti-seize paste when it was originally installed so I contacted the company. I was advised to take it completely off, put it in a vise, lift to the right and soak with penetrating oil and heat,

Better than OEM, a must have for all Lift Grand Cherokees!

I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee with a 2" rise and a 3/4" front axle alignment kit. I never thought an adjustable cross member would be necessary for my lift, but when it came time for a new chain I chose it over an OEM replacement. This caterpillar is a beast! It's well built, maybe twice the weight of a standard rod (or more). Installation was easy, I replaced the tie rod bolts this summer and they fit perfectly. Adjusting the bar was easy too, I held a spirit level flush with the outside of the

Thick piece, fits well.

This unit is as advertised, fits well and is easy to install. This is clearly a necessary addition for Jeeps over 3" tall and has enough adjustment range to fit a standard non-raised WJ as a repairable alternative to the stock handlebar. Be aware that if your WJ bumpers are not extended and your engine mounts are a little loose, it is POSSIBLE for this rod to hit the oil pan. Guess where I know. Installation. Everything was easy to do, I had to remove the driver side fender for assembly (quite…
