Considering the price and the importance the company places on wiping mirrors with alcohol prior to application, you would think they would add 1 or 2 square packs of alcohol wipes. along with mirrors. While the rotating base seems useless considering the hinge is small and plastic, they stick a 3M backing to the base and mirror so you can mount them directly to wing mirrors without a base. The instructions also recommend folding the rear-view mirrors inwards before washing etc. so that the plastic base does not break.
