Review on Hanperal DC 12V 5L Transfer Pump: Efficient Oil Fluid Scavenging & Suction Vacuum by Jesus Gallagher

Product exactly as advertised, works great drained 6.5 liters of oil from my diesel in less than 2 minutes. There are no additional instructions other than those in the product description, but its use is very simple and clear. The pump came with pre-filled plugs on both the inlet and outlet. If you don't remove the plugs, you're likely to get poor suction. If you leave the pump running without any liquid being pumped, or if the flow is going in the wrong direction, you will likely shut off the pump's suction and then not get good suction when you try to use it properly, unless , you refill them first. There is no clear marking of which side is inflow and which is outflow, but if you think about it a bit it becomes obvious. A narrow line is an inflow (narrow means better suction). The heavier line is the outlet with a fitting to ensure the outlet hose doesn't move when pumping. One piece of advice I'd like to suggest is that supply tubs have short lengths of plastic tubing to either connect to the pump or to connect the tubing together. When pumping a warm liquid, such as engine oil, the connecting hoses are sufficiently softened, suction can cause them to be partially destroyed, resulting in a decrease in flow. This can be avoided if the connection hoses are used in such a way that they completely fill the short connection hoses and no additional suction space restricts the flow. I am very happy with this product, it makes oil changes easy, removing and changing the oil and filter is completed in less than 15 minutes in a shirt and tie with no mess. It would be nice if the battery cables were a bit longer, but there were a lot of tubes.
