This little thing takes more trouble than it's worth. Brews very slowly. But the worst part is that it makes a big mess with just one cup of coffee! It squirts when brewing, leaving a puddle of coffee in the brewing chamber, not to mention the need to clean the permanent filter. The cooking chamber is full of nooks and crannies that are difficult to clean. If you remove the small constriction nozzle, it removes the puddle inside, but more squirts out! This only yields a maximum cup of 10.5 oz. Large 15 liter cups do not fit underneath. After each cup you have about 10 minutes of cleaning ahead of you! There were gaps in my filter mesh, but they didn't seem to let the soil through. All in all a waste of time for a small cup of Java. I recommend a simple one-cup brew funnel alternative (manufactured by many different companies and only costs a few dollars) that uses standard #1 paper filters and brews quickly with no mess, quick cleanup, and turnaround time.
