Review on 🔒 POP & LOCK - Ford/Mazda Manual Tailgate Lock, PL2310 (Traditional Style) (Exclusively Fits Factory Plastic Handle) (Black) by Sherman Lancaster

I am only giving this product three stars because (1) nowhere in the online description does it say anything about trucks with metal handles, this model must be ordered (I ordered a similar model but returned it .When the first lock came, read the instructions and saw that for trucks with metal handles, model PL2310 should be ordered.I was able to return it and exchange it for the correct one.(2)The instructions were a little vague.got it and saw how they Advised them to adjust/bend the lever to fit the handle and pull to latch.The new lock had a welded shackle that didn't allow for adjustment.The lock didn't have that shackle.It ended up cutting I removed the shackle and made a few adjustments to finally get the lock working.An adjustment was needed to ensure the lock ss slides into the shoulder and when turning the key. It's a pen for work. If the lock is not fully engaged, the handle will initially fall off as if locked, but it can be easily forced open. Bending the latch lever to get it in requires removing the entire lock from the truck each time. This lasted almost two hours. In general, the lock works and does not lock the tailgate.
