Bought for my 2008 Ford Ranger. The instructions were pretty basic as other reviews have noted. Make sure you have a Torx 30 screwdriver to remove the tailgate cover. This lock did not fit well enough on the tailgate handle. It was machined too large so when I tried to fit the locking mechanism to the handle the lock was about 3mm from where it was supposed to slide into the handle. Received the Pop & Lock today and installed it on my 2005 Ford Ranger with relative ease. Of course, I regularly work with cars, but in general this is not a difficult installation even for a not very experienced person. The lock works; However, I am not very impressed with the quality of the product.
